Cobra Women Open Region 24 Tournament With Dominant Win Over Lincoln

The Parkland Women outscored Lincoln 43-30 in the second half on the way to a 76-58 win over the Lynx. The victory moves PC (23-6) into the semi-finals where they will take on the winner of the Lincoln Land-Lake Land contest. 

After a slow start which saw the Cobras tied at 17 after the opening quarter, PC would grab a five point 33-28 lead at the break.  The second half was all Parkland as they pulled away for the 18 point win. 

Kyra Washington continued her strong play as she came off the bench to score 17 points knocking down 4-6 from behind the arc.  Avery Hamm added 15 points as she made three 3's  while Layne Buzan had 13 points, 4-6 from behind the arc, and 8 rebounds.  The Cobras shot 48% from the field and made 11-23 from three-point land.  Payton Bieber just missed a double-double with 8 points and 10 boards while Kerstyn Lowery had 8 points and dished out 5 assists.
